BTCPay Server Supporters Offer Up to 3 BTC Bounty After Exploit Drains Payment Servers
Supporters of BTCPay Server are offering a bounty of up to 3 BTC, valued at roughly $190,000, for help recovering funds after a critical exploit drained bitcoin payment servers, according to CoinDesk and The Block.
BTCPay said the vulnerability may have been exploited with the help of artificial intelligence, according to The Block. The project credited Craig Raw and the Bitcoin Red Team fund for reporting the flaw, The Block reported.
Neither outlet specified the exact amount of bitcoin lost in the exploit or the number of servers affected. The bounty is aimed at recovering the drained funds rather than serving as a reward for identifying the bug after the fact.

Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
