Ondo Finance Launches Tokenized Private-Market Notes, Starting With Unnamed Pre-IPO AI Company
Ondo Finance has opened a private-markets platform offering tokenized notes linked to private companies, with the first issuance tied to an unnamed pre-IPO artificial intelligence company, according to The Block and Cointelegraph.
The notes are available to eligible investors and give exposure to the underlying private company’s performance, but they do not confer shareholder rights, according to The Defiant. Payouts are tied to an eventual liquidity event, such as an IPO or acquisition, and The Defiant reports that prices for the notes on secondary markets can diverge sharply from that eventual payout since there is no guaranteed link between day-to-day trading prices and the final settlement value.
Cointelegraph reports the structure is designed to let investors gain exposure to pre-IPO companies — historically a market limited to venture capital firms, accredited investors, and institutional players — through a tokenized format. The identity of the AI company backing the first note has not been disclosed in any of the reporting.
The launch extends Ondo’s existing focus on tokenizing real-world assets into a new category: private equity exposure delivered via onchain notes rather than direct equity stakes.

What the market did
Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
